GALAXY FOODS ANNOUNCES NEW DISTRIBUTION TO SUPER K-MART STORES
Orlando, FL (December 8, 1997)...Galaxy Foods Company (NASDAQ: GALX), makers of the world's most complete line of healthy cheese and dairy-related products, today announced new distribution to eighteen Super K-Mart stores located in the Carolinas and Virginia. Super K-Mart stores are a new concept for the retail giant, which include a traditional discount store and a supermarket in one store. Galaxy is currently selling its American flavored Sandwich Slices to these stores.
Angelo S. Morini, Galaxy's President stated, "The addition of Super K-Mart stores to our growing list of retail customers is very exciting for our company. Consumers are increasingly looking for convenience in shopping and the all-in-one concept stores will undoubtedly continue their steady expansion. Sales to retail supermarkets are our strongest area of growth with sales for the fiscal year ended March 31, 1997 up almost 450% over retail sales for the previous year."
