With our products in over 13,000 supermarkets and approximately 1,000 health food stores nationwide, and with 31 countries around the world offering them in various outlets, Galaxy remains the undisputed leader in the fastest growing segment in the food industry today - the healthy, natural and organic foods category. Angelo S. Morini, Galaxy's founder, chairman and president, invented and marketed the first healthier dairy alternative in 1972. This product was first marketed as an alternative to cholesterol and saturated fat-laden cheeses, the health dangers of which the world was then just learning about. Since that time, we have become aware of so many other reasons to consume less animal protein products and eat more protein from plant-based foods. These reasons include our health and nutrition, our environment, economics (including world hunger) and animal suffering.

With increasing media attention and consumer awareness of the negative effects of pesticides in our food supply, growth hormones injected in our livestock, pollution of our rivers and streams from slaughterhouses and feedlots, the effects of green house gases on our climate, the pollution caused by methane emissions (from livestock), the health dangers of eating foods with saturated fat, cholesterol, preservatives and artificial ingredients, and many other important factors, healthy and natural products such as Galaxy's continue to become more and more mainstream.

Adding to these factors, are the alarming rising levels of obesity (especially in children), diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. Prevention is becoming increasingly important to us, and we are steadily making better food choices to try to take control of our own health.

Galaxy's healthy and all natural products are made with great love and care from a 60,000 square foot high-tech, state-of-the-art production facility located in Orlando, Florida. Every facet of this extremely efficient and modern facility is top-quality. Annual production capacities include approximately 150 million pounds of cheese slices, approximately 100 million pounds of shredded cheese, approximately 80 million pounds of soft cheeses and smoothie products, and the ability and capability to do a lot more. Through our proprietary hot-process production method, Galaxy produces a microbiologically safer product than the typical methods used to make conventional dairy products. To learn this process and other important duties, our Galaxy "specialists" must graduate from our in-house Galaxy University. At Galaxy U, they are trained in a classroom-like setting to learn new or revised job requirements as well as receive on-going training. Once we are completely satisfied that our products meet our high quality standards, they are shipped to our customers from Galaxy's nearby 85,000 square foot warehouse, of which 50,000 square feet is refrigerated space including freezers. The warehouse has eighteen loading docks and an eight thousand square foot refrigerated staging area.
