Galaxy Nutritional Foods Dairy-Free Ice Cream Recipe Contest
Official Rules
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANES OF WINNING.
Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older at the date of entry. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Employees of Sponsor, its parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries, participating advertising and promotion agencies, and prize suppliers (and members of their immediate family and/or those living in the same of household of each such employee) are not eligible.

Timing: The contest begins on July 18th, 2012 at 8:00am East Standard Time (EST) and ends on August 15, 2012 at midnight EST.
How to Enter: Be inspired by Galaxy’s Dairy-Free Cheesecake ice cream recipe at WWW. Use Galaxy’s dairy-free Veggie Cream Cheese Alternative product as an ingredient. Submit the name of the recipe you made and a photo of the finished product via Galaxy’s Twitter page @GalaxyFoods with hashtag #VeganIceCream or send your entry via email at [email protected].
Include your name and email address with your submission. The photo entry must have a recipe name attached in the email or Twitter mention @GalaxyFoods with hashtag #VeganIceCream. All entries must be inspired by the original recipe of Galaxy’s Dairy-Free Cheesecake ice cream recipe. All entries must be submitted by midnight Eastern Standard Time on August 15, 2012 .
Winner Selection: All entries will be judged by Alisa Fleming, founder of GoDairyFree.org, and a representative at Galaxy Nutritional Foods. Five finalists will be selected from all submitted entries. At the time, each of the five finalists will be asked to provide their recipe for judging and the grand-prize winner will be chosen. The four runner-ups will be awarded a prize.
Entries will be judged based on the following criteria: originality (50%) and visual appeal (50%). By participating in the contest, entrant certifies that his/her entry is original, has not been previously published or won any award, and does not contain any material that would violate or infringe upon the rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks, or rights of privacy or publicity. Galaxy Nutritional Foods reserves the right in its sole and unfettered discretion to disqualify any entry that it believes contains obscene, offensive, or inappropriate content, that does not comply with these official rules, or that is not consistent with the spirit or theme of the contest.
Eligible entries are limited to one (1) entry per person and/or per email address. Limit one (1) prize per household. Recipe contest winners will be selected from on-line entries only. Valid entries must contain all information requested. Incomplete and duplicate entries will be disqualified. The contest entities will not verify receipt of entries. All materials submitted in connection with this contest become property of Galaxy Nutritional Foods. These materials may be edited, revised or altered at the discretion of Galaxy Nutritional Foods.
By entering, participates acknowledge compliance with the Official Rules, including, without limitation, all eligibility requirements, and the decisions of the Administrator, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this contest. Responsibility for receipt of entry rests solely with the participant. In the event of a dispute, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the participant.
The “authorized winner” is defined as the natural person to whom the e-mail address is assigned by an Internet service provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
Prize: 1 (one) grand prize winner will receive a Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker valued at $90.00, 6 (8oz) tubs of Veggie Cream Cheese Alternative valued at $24.00, a Galaxy branded Wilton ice cream scooper valued at $12.00, and the winning recipe will be featured on GoDairyFree.org.
In addition, 4 (four) runner-up winners will receive 1 (one) Galaxy branded Wilton ice cream scooper valued at $12.00 and 2 (two) free coupons of Veggie Cream Cheese Alternative valued at $8.00.
Conditions of Participation: Online entrants must have a valid e-mail address or Twitter address, and it is entrant’s responsibility to update Galaxy Nutritional Foods of any change in contact information. Each prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied, outside of manufacturer’s limited warranty. No transfer, assignment, or substitution of a prize permitted. All federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations apply. Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of Galaxy Nutritional Foods, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Promotion. Winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and, where legally permissible, a Publicity Release within 14 days following the date of first attempted notification. Failure to comply with this deadline may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Winner hereby further agrees that he/she will sign any documents necessary to transfer copyright of the entry to Sponsor within 14 days following the date of first attempted notification. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Galaxy Nutritional Foods and its agencies to use winner’s name and/or likeness, biographical material, and/or entry (including an altered form of the entry) for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. By accepting prize, winner agrees to hold Galaxy Nutritional Foods, its advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representative agents, successors, assigns, officers, directors, and employees harmless for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participation in the Promotion or acceptance or use of the prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any printing, typographical, mechanical, or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Promotion, or in the announcement of the prize.
Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitations of Liability: Galaxy Nutritional Foods and its affiliates and suppliers will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from or in connection with the use of recipes from the Galaxy Nutritional Foods Dairy-Free Ice Cream Recipe Contest, including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.
