Rhode Island Resident Brings National Expertise to Galaxy’s Management Team
(Providence, RI) - Galaxy Nutritional Foods, America's leading producer of cheese alternatives, today announced that Jamie Schapiro, a veteran marketing and sales manager who was most recently with Stirrings, LLC, has been named Director of Marketing for Galaxy effective immediately. In his new role, Mr. Schapiro will oversee marketing for all of Galaxy Nutritional Foods brands.
In his previous experience, Mr. Schapiro played a key role as an early contributor to four successful, high growth, premium branded consumer companies - Clif Bar, Jamba Juice, MyPoints and most recently Stirrings, a division of Diageo North America. Schapiro's experience includes hand-on responsibility for managing sales teams, streamlining sales processes and improving sales revenue, managing online marketing programs, and developing new products with major airlines such as Delta, American Airlines, Continental, and U.S. Airways. During his time at Clif Bar, he initiated new product ingredients to make Clif Bars kosher certified, entering a multi-billion dollar food market.
